English for Academic Purposes Curriculum
Students will participate in a minimum of 20 hours per week face-to-face studies.
Students may enter this program upon successful completion of Upper-Intermediate in General English or with an overall IELTS score of 5.0.
The recommended teacher-student ratio is 18:1. This regulation must be upheld for NEAS member colleges but for all other CRICOS colleges, it is only a recommendation.
There are two levels and four exit levels in English for Academic Purposes curriculum. For students who are entering with IELTS 5.0 and 5.5, they can study in one class and students with IELTS 6.0 and 6.5 can also study in the one class. Depending on the student’s outcomes, students can achieve the exit score of IELTS 5.5 or 6.0 from Level 1 and IELTS 6.5 or 7.0 from Level 2. See the entry and exit score details in the table below.

Each level consists of 10 to 12 weeks. Clients may choose the duration they wish to have.
There are 10 assessments for each level. Assessments include group discussions, oral presentations, taking notes from a reading or a listening text, writing essays and more.
